A-286

UNS #S66286

A-286 is an iron-base austenitic stainless steel alloy with notched rupture strength superior to any other alloy with comparable high-temperature properties. It is designed for applications requiring high strength and good corrosion resistance at temperatures up to 1300°F (704°C). An advantage of A-286 is that it can be precipitation hardened and strengthened by heat treatment, making a high degree of uniformity in developing maximum strength possible, which can be duplicated application after application.
