431

UNS #S43100

431 stainless is designed to provide improved corrosion resistance and toughness in a quench-hardenable stainless steel. Its mechanical properties include excellent impact strength at relatively high hardness level with the best corrosion resistance of the conventional martensitic stainless grades. Ideal for applications that require precision machining of components with high reproducibility and uniformity and the optimum combination of corrosion resistance, hardness and toughness from approximately -100 to 1200ºF (-73 to 650ºC)
