CarpenterCARES - Employee Volunteer Activities
Carpenter employees volunteer their time in many corporate organized activities to help local charities. From working at the food pantry, to taking children fishing, or participating in Relay for Life, our employees are passionate about our communities and enjoy working together for the greater good.
Carpenter Technology Corporation is committed to good corporate citizenship that benefits the communities in which we live, work and play. We encourage employee volunteerism at locations through organized activities and by providing contributions to local charitable organizations and educational efforts. All requests for financial donations must be submitted electronically, regardless of location.
Carpenter benefits our local communities by:
- Supporting STEM programs in grades 10-12 in public schools through teacher mini-grants or as larger school or grade-level wide programs that enhance existing STEM initiatives.
- Providing funds to high school vo-tech programs or community colleges in the areas of engineering, materials handling, and the trades (i.e. electricians, pipe fitters, machinists, etc.)
- Donating to high-level evidence-based STEM camps for the purpose of providing scholarship to low-income students from the company’s service areas
- Supporting the United Way through monetary gifts and employee volunteerism
Carpenter Technology has a proud heritage of innovation. Our corporate giving philosophy celebrates that commitment to innovation by supporting science and technology education in the communities where our employees live and work. Carpenter also provides support for health and human service organizations through annual donations to the United Way in those communities. Carpenter does not financially support dinners, golf outings, or any other fundraising events. It is the preference of the Company to make direct contributions to an organization whose application is accepted and funds are awarded.
