An iron-cobalt-nickel alloy that has been
strengthened by carbon, chrome and
molybdenum. AerMet 100 alloy is equal in strength to 300M alloy but has increased
fracture toughness and stress-corrosion cracking resistance. The improved properties
of AerMet 100 alloy are expected to provide greater reliability and weight-saving
advantages in aircraft landing and arresting gear components.
