Austenitic chromium-nickel stainless alloy with
superior heat- and corrosion-resistance properties, and with improved machinability
as compared to conventional Type 309 or Type 309S. This alloy should be considered
for automatic screw machine operations where the longer tool life results in
more productive machine time. Applications have included those for Type 309
or Type 309S which require machining.
