A free-machining austenitic stainless steel. The grades good machinability
is due to the proper combination of aluminum and sulfur. It has better formability
than Type 303 stainless and should be considered for cold forming operations
where Type 303Se stainless is now used, specifications permitting. Its corrosion
resistance is generally similar to that of Type 303; however, 303Al Modified
stainless has better pitting resistance.
