This alloy is basically a higher nickel version of A-286 alloy.
It is made, however, with high-purity ingredients so that it is a weldable,
crack-resistant alloy. Besides being used in highly specialized, high-strength,
weldable applications, it has been used as part of a super magnet in a fusion
reactor application.
