The enhancement includes an improved interface and improved search functions. Users can access the database any time, from any location, at no charge.
Carpenter launched the database in November 2000, which allows users to easily compare data and perform searches on hundreds of Carpenter's specialty alloys. To date, more than 27,000 users have registered for the database at www.cartech.com.
With the upgrade, users will be able to:
- search more efficiently
- edit and save searches
- save personal lists of the alloys they use
- view featured products of new alloys and possible application uses
- view and sort by UNS, alloy categories or searched categories
- e-mail a PDF of a datasheet
